Overview
Boccia England is the national governing body for Boccia, a Paralympic sport with no Olympic equivalent. It’s a target ball sport which tests both muscle control and accuracy. From a seated position (and therefore ideal for wheelchair users) players propel balls to land close to a white marker ball. Boccia is one of the fastest growing sports in the world today.
The challenge
Responsible for the promotion of this relatively new sport, making potential competitors aware of both the sport and membership services on offer, as with all sports NGB’s, is the primary challenge.
